A poem found on another blog- long roads still ahead?

I’m travailing down a long lonely road
Travailing

I’m travailing down a long lonely road. I’m travailing down a rough winding road.I’m carrying such a heavy load on a lonely road.I’m travailing down a long lonely road. Tell me of a man born across the sea.Tell me of that man who died for me.Please tell me of that man who set me free.Tell me of that man far across the sea. Tell me of a road that is smooth and straight.Tell me of a road that leads me to an open gate. Please tell me quick so, I won’t be too late.Tell me of that road that is smooth and straight. Read to me from that book so dear.Read to me from the book that relieves all fear. Please read to me of a way that is narrow and clear.Read to me from that book so dear. Talk to me of a love sent down from high above.Talk to me of that sure salvation Christian love. Please talk to me on this lonely hard stone road.If surrender all, Jesus, will you carry my heavy load. I’m travailing down a long lonely road.Lord Jesus now carries my heavy load. The road is now sweet, smooth and straight.Jesus will carry me all the way to the gate. Walk with me and share his grace. Lonely Road

I heard this song tonight while I watched an episode of "Saving Grace" that I had missed. I really like it. The same band sings the show's theme song and I love that one so no surprise I like this song too. It's called "Lonely Road" by Everlast

♫"Too much time thinking about all of my mistakesMy heart, my mind, my soul, my body achesA hunger for, the loving arms of your embraceI walk along the lonely roadI walk along the lonely roadMy back is strong, girlI carry the loadAll the grinding time I pay the debt that's owedI walk along the lonely roadToo much time thinking about everything that went wrongI cry my eyes out every time I hear your songI hope this path brings me back where I belongI walk along the lonely roadI walk along the lonely roadMy back is strong, girlI carry the loadAll the grinding time I pay the debt that's owedI walk along the lonely roadToo much pride, for me to up and take the blameDeep inside girl it's killing me with painEvery night, I sleep I call your nameI walk along the lonely roadI walk along the lonely roadMy back is strong girlI carry the loadAll the grinding time I pay the debt that's owedI walk along the lonely roadI walk along the lonely roadMy back is strong girlI carry the loadAll the grinding time I pay the debt that's owedI walk along the lonely roadI walk along the lonely roadI walk along the lonely road"♫
