I Miss You, but that's ok

I miss you, but that's ok. I will always miss you just a little, no matter what. Time helps to not feel so sad but I'm always that afraid I'll start to forget you as time goes by. I try to remember a quote by Maya Angelou when I feel this way, "People will forget what you did, people will forget what you said, but people will never forget how you made them feel." That feeling is more important than anything. So, though I may forget some of the details I'll never forget you completely. I'll never forget how you made me feel.

Crimped Beach Hair

What you will need:

comb or brush
hair ties
mouse or other preferred hair products
ability to do a 3 strand braid

Here's what you do:

After you take a shower brush or comb your hair out. Part your hair how you want it to be worn the next day. Put some mousse in your hair mostly in the bottom half near the ends. In 2 equal sections (or more if you want smaller crimps- I did four in these pictures.) braid hair starting a couple inches away from the base of your head. If you do them too close to the base of your scalp there will be a really defined crimp where it will  look like your hair was in a ponytail for too long. Tie off the braids loosly with your hair ties. Sleep in the braids overnight. In the morning, take braids out and scrunch a little (add more mousse or hair spray if needed). Style any other way you wnat and you're good to go!

Cream of Mushroom Chicken Recipe

Cream of Mushroom soup is great for changing up a multitude of everyday, ordinary meals. Tonight we made Cream of Mushroom Chicken with green beans and oven potatoes. Though, I am just going to focus on the chicken and green beans for this recipe. It is pretty simple if you are in the mood for few ingredients and little prep.

What you need:
Can of Cream of Mushroom soup
Package of chicken (we used legs)
Spices like salt/pepper, onion powder, garlic (or whatever you choose)
Green beans that steam is the bag
Oven safe dish about 8x8 capacity(glass or ceramic is best)

Put chicken (already thawed) in oven safe dish and spread soup across the top. Add a little water and desired spices to mix. Slosh the chicken, soup, spices, and water around to make sure the mixture spreads across all the chicken pieces.

Cook at 375 degrees for about 30-45 minutes. *Times vary and chicken should be checked to ensure it is thoroughly cooked prior to consumption. It is best to pull the chicken out and baste it a bit about halfway though, adding a little more water if necessary. Flipping or rotating the chicken midway is also helpful.

Steam the green beans in the bag based on labeled directions. Then add similar spices as your chicken.

Serve dish on a plate with cream of mushroom chicken (and of the little soupy sauce) on top of a bed of green beans. Then enjoy!

To Be or Not To Be?

There is a fair shaking of a stick at the essentializing and stereotyping that takes place in our society which, in a cycle, influencing our thoughts and actions. Questions with less clear answers are the most interesting because understanding has to be defined by the individual. This is is the standard way of starting philosophical thinkings in my mere livelihood. I am aware that I may not be meant to understand everything but I will try to appease my curiosity to know more about those things that pull my strings. I mean we've all gotta start somewhere, right?

Ponderings of Reason

I do not understand why it is a common exception for someone to feel happy for no reason but not the transverse, for someone to feel sad for no reason. There are so many aspects of life where we get slammed with the "because I said so" reasoning that it makes sense to me. With that being my first response, it intrigues the thought of why that fuels frustration or even action in people. The real reason is unknown to the person hearing that statement thus, at least in my mind, it holds just as much value as no reason at all.

Take the instance of teaching a small child a boundary associated with an action by using this "because I said so" reasoning. What value is really placed in the child following your directions? Is it rooted in understanding or just entirely in an avoidance of a particular punishment or action regardless of the real reason why?
