When I look at you across the room
At church it doesn't seem so bad.
And then I think of your smile,
The rest just fades away.
It's like the rest doesn't matter anymore.
I can't help but to smile back
Even though it was the whole reason I looked.
Your look calms me down
Slows me to a stop
For a second all is still.
You matter most
And I get the joy to see it.
Goodbye I'm forced to say each time
When my heart screams not to do so.
You're the world to a lot of people
Dont' let the facade fool you.
I always hope for our next moment to share
